Grassroots>The Roots?

While talking to my mom on the phone yesterday, she mentioned having heard of some band called the Grassroots that played last week at First Avenue.



I laughed at her and said, "you mean the Roots?"





and she said matter-of-factly, "they were called the Grassroots, back in the seventies, when they played in Nebraska."
