Barbie's Ladies of the 80s

What a super cool collection Barbie has put out for 80s fans. The 'Ladies of the 80s' collection features dolls of Joan Jett, Debbie Harry, and Cyndi Lauper. Yay! Didn't think I'd want Barbie for Christmas in my adult life. Check it:

While you're at it, check out Barbie's nod to pop culture, with dolls of characters from Twilight, Star Trek, Bond, The Flintstones, Heidi Klum, and even Barbara Streisand:

I'm putting this up because I figured it'd be nice to have when searching for story ideas. Since art's usually free, it doubles as a great guide for something good to do. (during the day, at least)

Healing MN

Here's an article for the Daily Planet about Healing MN, a benefit for Cornerstone:

Man Throws Tomatoes at Sarah Palin during MOA book signing

Sarah Palin visited the Mall of America today, for a "Rogue" book signing. A man was arrested for throwing tomatoes at Palin. Easily, the best news I heard all day. Check it:

E2 at Grandpa's 90th birthday party

The bird's eye view. I taught the baby duo how to use my camera. Ellingten was shooting like a pro in the end, had a lot of cookie crumbs to wipe off the camera! They're lucky they're cute.

Quit Your Day Job

Starting a revolution in the studio...apartment, that is. Finally realized there's no reason to keep applying for crappy part-time employment, and am experimenting on various sources of self-employment. Kind of excited, because not all of them involve writing or photography. It's cool to have many loves.

In writing news, I have gotten a few responses from my major first attempt to crack the writer's market on a larger scale. Albeit, my first attempt was done in haste. Oh well, had to tear off the Band-aid at some point.

Hump Day Pick of the Day

Ever want a little sex in your coffee? a new company has got your fetish covered. Craiglist job ad in search of Sex Coffee Rep:

Ad reads, "New sexual enhancement coffee distributors needed. Hot product, high profit potential."

North Star Rollergirls

I'll be there on behalf of Vita.mn Here's some info from Yelp (I think):

The North Star Roller Girls put the rock back into rolling with a night of intense derby action and a celebration of rock legends. Who knows? There may even be an Elvis sighting! For those about to rock, the North Star Roller Girls salute you!

No Coast Craft-o-rama

It's going down this weekend, on Friday 3-8, the Satuday 9-5. I'll be doing some coverage for the Daily Planet.
