Busy Signal - Hottt ED Turf!!!

It has a Major Lazer connection, he's on it or something. This was posted back in January, but who cares? You prolly never heard it.

The Hood Internet - The Mixtape Volume Four

I'm sure everyone's got it, but I'm throwing a link up anyway.

Mux Mool - Viking Funeral EP

An oldie but goodie. Has P.O.S. and Prof on it, for you MPLS geeks.

King Otto - Guru tribute

King Otto has done again. I'm glad I started paying closer attention to his links on Facebook, he posts mixtapes all the freakin' time. Here's one he did last week honoring the late great Guru.

I wish I was P.O.S.

I don't care if they're cartoons. I wanted to see them so bad. The whole trip would have costed so much, so I lost motivation. Sadness!

Wiz Khalifa - Kush & Orange Juice

Celebrate Women in Music

Here's an article I wrote about "Celebrate Women In Music," a panel discussion and concert featuring the Watson Twins.

King Otto - Studyin' 120

Download it

Nerve & DJ Arkitekt - The American Lowlife LP

Not a mixtape, but it's getting released as one, so I'll treat it as such.

Matching Wits Talks to Teenager Vol. 1

They've got talent, and one dude kinda raps like Del a bit. BUT...please don't just rhyme over popular songs, and call it a mixtape. I don't know, I guess when the bigger rappers flip beloved tracks it seems alright. Here, it just seems like copyright infringement.

Afrika Bambaataa

Here's a (belated) review (if you can call it that) of the Afrika Bambaataa show. I wrote it in a rush last week. I hate reporting on some shows, because they turn out completely different than I intended, and it really sucks. That's how I felt this night. Reminded me of being at Coolio.

Um, so...

Is there a life beyond posting mixtapes?

King Otto - Dilla Mix

Gotta love Dilla, he produced so many beloved hip hop tracks. Here's King Otto's homage, that he spun live back in 2006 at his regular gig at King and I Thai. Wonder why it's resurfacing again...an anniversary? I'll have to do some research.
